My Thoughts

We watched this thinking it would be a bit like the Hallmark style Christmas movies and were very disappointed. The actress playing Melody was pleasant enough but not terrific. As for John Cole he had no real charm, the acting was terrible and and there was nothing about him to suggest he could be selling out arenas. The cinematography was pretty poor too. We only finished watching it to see it through and hope it would improve at the close, it didn't. It was Christmas day and they opened a present but there was zero cosy Christmas vibe. Let's not forget that her friend who babysat for her, saw who her date was and starting dressing nicely when she came to her door in case John was with her. Hardly friendly behaviour. We won'y be rewatching this again.
